Upon the Midnight Moon

The darkness engulfs the broken spirit
And the child mourns softly in the dark
The soothing rain of the summer winds
Takes away her tears and into the sky.
She glances at the shimmering stars
And wishes that the sun would not overwhelm them
Hiding their beauty from her
And take away the death in her eyes.

She awakes the morn to find her beloved night gone
Traveling away from the tree of life
She whispers of her dying dream
Of sitting upon the Midnight moon.
The night soon destroys the sun
And darkness takes over again
Where she will soon become one
With the burning star of light.

Her angelic feathers whisper in the dark
As the moon sets above her again
She smiles as the rain begins
And she dances in the beauty of it.
The Midnight moon shines down upon her
And the thunder begins to roll
As her lover emits from the Midnight Moon
And takes her back with him.
