Last Rites
For every unanswered wish
For every forgotten prayer
I feel myself drawing closer
To the Dark King's lair.
Should I continue on forever?
Should I give up now?
For all the love we once shared
Should I disavow?
Then I come to the conclusion
That my heart's not dead
For when I think of your kindred soul
I remember why we wed.
Why must time part us so?
And the distance be so long?
For I have loved only you
Is that really so wrong?
So through the coldest winters
And the darkest nights
I shall continue to love you
Until my last rites.
